These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and Goldmaps AI LLC (“Goldmaps,” “we,” “us”) governing your use of the Goldmaps mobile app and its content (the “Service”). By downloading or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Your license to use Goldmaps

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your own non-commercial use, subject to these Terms. You may not copy, resell, scrape, redistribute, or reverse-engineer the app or its data.

2. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login secure and for activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent where you live) to use the Service.

3. Subscriptions & payments

Goldmaps offers auto-renewing subscriptions. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
Your subscription renews automatically at the then-current price unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your device’s App Store account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
Prices may change; we will give notice as required, and changes apply to future billing periods.
Refunds are handled by Apple under the App Store terms; we do not separately process payments or refunds.

4. Important — gold data, land, and claims are informational only

Goldmaps shows locations where gold has historically been recorded, drawn from public government datasets, along with general information about land ownership and management. This information is provided for general reference only and may be incomplete, out of date, or inaccurate.

We do not guarantee that gold is present at, or can be found at, any location.
Land status, public/private designations, and any information about mining claims are informational and not a legal determination. They may not reflect current ownership, active mining claims, closures, or local rules.
You are solely responsible for confirming land ownership, checking for existing mining claims, obtaining any required permits or landowner permission, and ensuring that prospecting is legal at a given location before you enter or dig. Never prospect on land without the right to do so.
Prospecting in National Parks and many other protected areas is illegal. Always follow all federal, state, local, and tribal laws.

5. The AI Prospector

The AI Prospector generates suggestions using artificial intelligence. Its responses may be inaccurate or incomplete and are not professional, legal, safety, or geological advice. Use your own judgment and verify anything important before acting on it.

6. Safety and assumption of risk

Prospecting takes place outdoors and involves real risks, including water, uneven terrain, weather, wildlife, and remote areas. You participate at your own risk and are responsible for your own safety and the safety of those with you. Goldmaps is not responsible for any injury, loss, or damage arising from your activities.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to break the law, trespass, damage property or the environment, harass others, or interfere with the app’s operation or security.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Goldmaps and its owners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss, injury, legal penalty, fine, or damage arising from your use of the Service, reliance on its information, or your prospecting activities. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Goldmaps harmless from claims, losses, and expenses arising out of your use of the Service, your prospecting activities, or your violation of these Terms or any law or third-party right.

11. Termination

We may suspend or end your access if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from within the app.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.

13. Apple App Store

This agreement is between you and Goldmaps only, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the Service or its content. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. Your use of the Service must also comply with the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.

14. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
